Fuck off, World....

I hate the 'Hello World' bullshit.

I'm sure you've seen what I'm referring to. If you've ever opened up just about anything that teaches you any form of scripting language or whatever, the first example they always give is the 'Hello World'.

Wikipedia even has a fucking article on the 'Hello World' bullshit.

Anyway...

I've gone blog. Fully. Officially. No more cheating with a modified guestbook script. We changed servers, and I'm learning PHP. Hence the utter annoyance with 'Hello - fucking - World'.

I'm writing this not because this page is ready to go live -- it probably won't until...maybe June, which is only a few days away, but it's got lots of days in it, so there's no telling when in June it'll happen -- but because I'm so fucking sick of trying to figure out formatting issues.

I've been fighting with an archival issue with the DPD for almost a week now. It's probably not a big, major problem that would stump people who know what they're doing, but I don't fucking know what I'm doing. I started playing with the scripts before I even knew what PHP meant.

So now I'm reading and taking notes and trying to learn everything I can so I can figure out what the hell I can do to fix this one annoying little problem -- maybe two, because I'd like to figure out a way to get the links over there to do what I want....

I missed Bullshit earlier today. It's on again. I'm going to go watch it now and get back to this later. Or something.
