Carbona Stain Devils
I meant to say something about this a while ago, but something came up and I wanted to see how it all turned out.
A little while back, I had my mom send out a bunch of my old stuff from the military -- BDUs, PT sweats, stuff like that. One pair of the sweatpants had some really old, really obvious bloodstains set in...they were about five years old at the time. My mom almost threw them out instead of sending them to me....
I went to the grocery store thinking that maybe I'd try some of that OxyClean stuff [I got some, and I use it in combination with the cheap storebrand Tide liquid knockoff -- and my clothes come out softer than when I was using the Tide with Downy] and see if that got the stain out.
The store had this teeny little rack of these Stain Devils things in their laundry detergent section. They had one specific for blood...so I thought I'd give it a try. It seemed a little pricey at almost $4.00, and I figured I'd hate myself for falling for some scam in the end...but I gave it a try anyway.
I got it home, read the directions, and got all set up. I wasn't sure if I should expect much of anything, because the stains were five years old and probably set in by much washing and drying....
The stuff is magic.
The entire process took about six hours, but the bloodstains are gone.
It really, really, really works.
Anyone who knows me well enough to know how I don't actually go on about things that don't work as if they do, or only sorta work...well, this is a good review. A really good review.
All you have to do is be patient, and follow the instructions, and it works
So, I emailed them and told them.
They emailed me back.
I figured it was done.
Then, one day, I got another email from someone else in their company, asking me if I'd be willing to sign a release regarding my review.
I said okay, and waited. And, eventually, I got the release paperwork and signed it, and sent it back.
...then, today happened.
I found this rather unexpected mystery-package waiting with my more-expected order from Pfaltzgraff. The expected-package was partially opened for me already -- thanks USPS.
So, in fact, was the unexpected package. All that 'tamper evident/tamper proof' tape didn't do much good. They just clear-taped over it.
It's a little shaken up, but that's an eight-pack of Stain Devils. The only two that are missing are the rust-stain and wax and tar remover stuff -- 9 and 10.
I also got a laminated 'stain chart' card, and a whole bunch of coupons with no expiration date.
These people know how to treat a new customer who just happened to have a good experience with their product.
You can learn more about their products, and find out if you can purchase them anywhere near you at http://carbona.com/
I hope I can find more of their products, so I can try them. And I hope that the rest of their products work as well as their Stain Devils #4. I also hope that if anyone uses their products based on my review, that they have the same sort of luck I had.
