I'm just being lazy.
I'd planned on having at least one of the more recent Peter Popoff letters done soon, but a whole bunch of stuff decided to occupy my time.
Like that day where we had to tear apart the waterbed and move it because it broke. Or this morning when I woke up to find out that -- luckily -- the liner for the waterbed actually WORKS.
Now, I've got yet another thing standing in the way of actual progress. Old nintendo games....
Last night, I finally got around to catching up with the rest of the computer world...sorta. I finally bought a game controller thing -- a ten dollar USB GC/PS2ish style controller. At some point, I'm going to try it out with some games on the TV Tower. Maybe tonight after House MD I'll see what I can find to play....
Might be a good way to pass the time, if it actually bothers to do the whole ice and snow thing they're calling for. Y'know, while I'm waiting for everything I need to finally have a bed again....
Jumping subjects entirely, I just got three movies from Netflix, the most interesting being Saw 2 -- released today, but shipped yesterday. That reminds me of some complaints I've been 'hearing' about recently regarding Netflix 'throttling' so-called 'heavy users'. People crying about how 'unfair' it is, and various other things.
I haven't actually had a problem yet. I'm 3 at a time, unlimited, and I think I'm currently only paying 16.99 a month [plus tax]. I haven't been there for a year, yet, so maybe the 'heavy user' thing comes a little later. I don't know.
Or maybe I just don't have unrealistic expectations from a by-mail rental company when it comes to likely-popular new releases. Sure, I got Saw 2 right away, but I'm still waiting on Serenity. I expected to wait on Serenity. I learned all about waiting and crappy rental service in my two months or so renting from Blockbuster [in store]. Session 9 was gone for months....
Meh. I guess I should pay more attention and see if my stuff is coming from somewhere it shouldn't.
