Waiting on Tables 3: Unexpected strangeness.
Yesterday, before I went to bed, I checked my Target.com account and noticed that my old order was gone, and there was a new one with a total cost of $0.00, so that's one promise followed-through-upon.
Or something.
Also, with the quickness thing, they seem to have followed through on that somewhat, as well. It has shipped, according to the email I just got.
What's strange, beyond all this? The tracking numbers.
Yes. I said tracking numbers.
There are two of them, both with UPS. And we know the problems I've had with UPS in the past -- I'm having a new one now, because of their nonworkingness on Saturday, and a two-day-air that I'm going to be getting three days from now because of the goddamn weekend....
But, about this table thing.
I'm getting two packages, bound in UPS's little system through the 'multiple packages' thing, whatever that is. One of them is an expected eighty pounds. The other is 45lbs.
It is strange. The first package is the shipping weight of the table, as listed on the website. I don't know what this second package is all about.
I guess I'll find out, hopefully in Waiting on Tables 4....
EDIT: UPS's tracking says that the packages will be here on the 7th.
I doubt it.
