I forgot to take my camera with me yesterday, which really sucks. There was some roadkill I was going to get a picture of, but my phone's battery was dead, too....

So...the pictures for the new DS Lite are somewhat lacking. I'd already opened it [we went to Quiznos after picking it up, and I decided to try it out near one of those WiFi hubs]. I tried to repack it all properly, though....

This is what's in the box. The DS Lite is wrapped in this strange foamy thing, there's a wall plug-in thingie for recharging, and an extra stylus [there's one already in the DS' slot. Also, a big plastic bag full of the ever-important books.

And here it is, opened, with the two pretty screens all mirrorlike and stuff. I've put the screen covers on them since then, and I'm still working out the bubbles.

It's a great little machine -- beats the hell out of the original [I didn't like the way that one felt at all], and the black really makes the screens stand out when it's turned on. Maybe I'll get some shots of that later....

I bought two games for it yesterday -- Animal Crossing Wild World, and Big Brain Academy. I spent most of yesterday playing Big Brain Academy on the amazing fresh-from-the-box residual charge, and really enjoying it [except for the math stuff. I suck at that].

Animal Crossing for the DS beats the hell out of the one for the Game Cube.

Yeah. I'll try to get more pictures later, or something...and talk more about the games, too, probably....
