So, can we all shut up about the tryptophan already?

It's not the magical sleepy-juice of Thanksgiving, after all.

I suspected as much. I mean, really, people getting sleepy on Thanksgiving because of the turkey? Try the energy expended on the grand gluttony deluxe, or whatever.

The whole thing was a bit of a joke to me when I first heard it, but the idea became an annoyance when turkey turned into 'the newest migraine headache trigger' for me. "It must be the tryptophan!"

"So, um, why can I still drink milk?"

For that matter, why can I still eat beef?

I hope this gets out more with the new series of smart specials all about Thanksgiving.
