I'm lazy. Also, I got a present!

It's that time of year again -- the season where everyone feels the need to sink deep into debt over gifts for people they might not even really like the rest of the year and all manner of glowey, moving, flashing, singing and inflating madness for their front lawns.

The inflating things seem to be the newest craze, probably because they inflate themselves and get all tiny when you have to store them away for another year. They're all over our neighbourhood.

Some of them make me wonder why we need this sort of decoration. Like, this one, for example:

It's Santa. But it's not the Santa we all knew and loved [or were terrified by] as a child. This Santa is pointy headed and sinister. He spends his days face-down on the dead grass, his arms outstretched in a horrible, worshipful sort of way, as if he's bound by his religion to spend the daylight hours of every day paying respects to some terrible Holiday Overlord. Or else.

At night, he comes alive, slowly inflating in a way that's makes him seem even more evil, slowly rising from his flat prostrateness of the day to the pointy-headed, fireglowey position you see in the picture. If he weren't stuck there [by the grace of the Horrible Holiday Overlord], he'd probably be stomping around town, biting the heads off babies, or something. Because something with that pointy a head doesn't eat veggies....

I'm pretty sure that lit deer there is frozen in place simply because it fears for its little electrified life, the Santa is that horrifying.

I was going to get a picture of the weird worship-position, but I had my hands full at the time. See, we were just coming back from a walk....

Also, from Starbucks, where we sat for a while and discussed all manner of pointlessness.

My hands were full because we had big bags full of these, which came from a nearby Overstock-type store that had them on sale for under $20.

I love puzzles, and Puzz3Ds are, like, the best ever. I just wish they'd had the Manhattan Skyline like their ad suggested they might, because that one is impossible to find [especially at a price I'm willing to pay].

Those two buildings came in the same box, and they weren't even split into little baggies or anything. That made it even more fun.

I haven't actually done them all yet -- I'm sorta rationing them out, because I know I won't be getting any more anytime soon.

I might've done the Empire State/whatever else is in the box set today if I hadn't woken up in a crappy mood with a headache -- and it's really too bad I woke up that way, because I guess I ruined the surprise.

It's the framed print of that picture I took of Zombi. The really good one -- the only really good one. It looks way better than I expected anything from my camera to look.

This is how it was shipped. I took a picture of it, just because.

Other than that, there's really not much going on. Yet. Soon, I'll be getting stuff from my parents, but Mom said she won't even be shipping it until the 15th, so that'll still be a teensy while, yet.

It snowed last night in my Animal Crossing game, and I got a red winter cap from Nintendo [in the game -- also, Nintendo sent me a Master Sword for my house, because of that special thing they did when the Wii came out...or something]. All of this is far more interesting than the pathetic would-be once-trolls trying to get my attention by hitting 404s in the hopes that it'll...what, shock me? I think I mentioned that I removed a certain few bans so skate could get in if he ever ended up on those other computers again. I'd forgotten about them, just like I'd forgotten about BangBang [who, I guess, is out again and trying to set up angry copies of his old geocities site on fortunecity -- don't bother looking, fortunecity took it down because he was violating their ToS].

I wonder if I can talk Gremlin into taking a walk...I've got some mail in rebates to deposit....
