Time to start digging out, I guess
I think I already mentioned that the snow is over. At least, it's over for about a day. There might be a little more this weekend, maybe.
The snow piled up against the door again, but it's not so bad that I can't open the door. Even if it was, I could probably get out through the garage, since that lifts up.
That's where we walked out yesterday. Twice.
Minutes later, I strike pavement.
That's our front walk. Also, a drift.
Something's been through here to move some snow out of the way. They just didn't bother scraping to the pavement.
That's where the one car was parked yesterday. Turns out, they live down the street a little way, and got stuck there. They were trying to get the car out for about an hour before I started to shovel.
A bit of undisturbed snow. Two shots of the same thing, really.
There's really only the one lane cleared. It looks like some people have had nasty run-ins with the curb, though.
It's a car. It might even be the same red car I got pictures of yesterday. Maybe. Or it might be a different one. I can't tell.
Our tree. Also, our lonely, unused, not-quite-reachable mailbox. Perhaps I'll go back out later and dig a path to it.
A tree. Twice.
Also, a fence. Twice.
More of the street.
I'm pretty sure this is the bike path. There's a huge pile of snow, though, so I can't be sure.
Tree.
More tree.
Still more tree.
The path I managed to dig out in the driveway. The little red cup used to be the icemelt cup, until I dropped it in the snow.
More of the path. Wow, it blurred a bit, probably because I keep bumping the zoom with my over-large and clumsy gloved fingers.
Visible plant life. It's one of the rosebushes -- the one that happens to be under the evergreen bush right there.
Half of our tree.
The other half of our tree.
The path up to our door. It's not the deepest one of these I've seen, but I wasn't going to crawl up any driveways to get pictures of other peoples' paths. That just sounds wrong.
I'll probably have to do some more digging out later. Eventually, I'll have to clear enough of our driveway to let a car in, or get the garbage can down to the curb. I don't think I have to worry about that for a few more hours, though.
← Looks like it finally stopped snowing. Waiting for 7am EST →
