Kryptonite by 3 Doors Down.

This song is the Childlike Empress of Des Moines. The movie version, unfortunately, because you can only meet the book version once in life.

This doesn't need to make sense, does it?

When I was in Des Moines, it seemed like this stupid song was the only song they had. It was everywhere at once, and if it ever dared end, it'd just start over again. Now, it haunts me, constantly reminding me that Des Moines exists, and making me wonder. If it didn't remind me, would Iowa disappear?

I think it might....

Go away, song. Let me forget. Let the middle of nowhere be covered with the strange, fleshy carpet of corn and nothingness it hides under every night, and let it never wake up again. I don't feel like being responsible for the existence of thousands of worthless people. I feel like actually getting something done today, and I guess I don't get to do that until I get this complete and utter nonsense out of my head and down somewhere where people are likely to take it personally.

No tagstuff.

I meant to draw a squid.... One of those pointless things in life you just have to blog about.

Odd, the song that does that for me is Se7en Mary Three's Cumbersome. which, played nonstop for twelve days... With only brief interruptions by Jewel's first single via South Side Perkins...
