iTunesU
I don't know how good any of the stuff is yet, or if it's really all free, or, if it is, if it'll stay all free, but iTunes now has educational type stuff.
They're calling it iTunesU, which seems awfully silly. It's there in the iTunes Store, which I would normally avoid. Because I don't want to buy anything from them.
I know that half of the stuff I've heard about iTunes and the iPod and the unfriendly DRMness of it all have been complete and utter bullshit, but...still, not thrilled about buying stuff like that. Not quite.
But...no charges, so far. I'm getting some Biology stuff from the UC Berkley section, which just seemed like a good idea at the time. Too bad my Nano is all stuffed full of...stuff. I'll have to get to it when I have room again.
Not that you need an iPod for this. iTunes will work just fine, and I think that's free from...somewhere or other.
Hey, free educational stuff. College-type educational stuff!
...that's probably not the sort of thing most people get all excited about, is it?
