Were fortune cookies always this weird?
We ordered some chinese...probably a little more than a week ago now, and these rather disturbing fortune cookies came with it.
See that? It's brown on one part, but regular coloured on another part. And also orange. Which is just creepy. They're like...halloween fortune cookies, or something.
And the fortunes? Were funny in an unexpected way. Like, not all obscure and weird and happy, but...funny.
Okay, so the first one was pretty typical. 'Pat yourself on the back for making that right choice', and maybe 'If your cookie is in 3 pieces, the answer is no' might be pretty typical, but 'You laugh now, wait till you get home'? That's just...not the sort of thing you expect from a bit of strangely shaped, wisdom-containing cookie product.
Of course, the cookies in question had brown spots that turned out to be chocolatey tasting....
