I decided it's time to do that thing I've been threatening to do in several of my search term list posts, and actually post some of the information I get when these people hit my site.

I'm not going to post all of them -- that would take forever to dig through, and there'd be a lot of repeats, since I sometimes get seven of the same search term from the same IP, all within a few minutes. Also, I'm leaving out places like the Philippines, Africa, that 'middle east' place [I get a lot of them from Turkey], and a bunch of other places. If I do this again, I might leave out everything but the US. I also might mention how many times they come back on the same search term.

If you happen to find yourself here, don't bother getting upset or offended. It's not my fault. I didn't do anything, really. I just did something I said I was going to do. People online should be aware of the information they leave all over the place.

I'm not aware of any personal obligation to keep these things private, especially since so many website statistics type sites have options you can set to have your stats open for public viewing. And I refuse to be held responsible for some fucking idiot's emotional response to this, whether it be 'omg that's me' or 'omg I hax u perv lol'. The first one needs to get over it, and the second probably needs its parents to keep a closer eye on it, because it's probably going to hurt someone.

...and I really wouldn't want to see anyone get hurt. Not if I were going to be held responsible, anyway.
