Between rounds of various flash games and Spider Solitaire and working on the website I'm supposed to be working on [and, yes, I am actually working on it -- just kinda stalled trying to get something to work *and* look right, and waiting for someone to get back to me about something], I've been sorta...sketching. I'm trying to get the hang of Corel Painter 11 -- experimenting with the pencil settings and all that. And I decided that it'd be a good place to work on something I've been wanting to do for a while. Except...I kinda have to work my way up to it.

So, I started with this....

I tried to make it cute. And, at the very least, sorta identifiable. I'm not sure I managed to do either. But I picked something easy first. And something that nobody online would noticed, because the 'net is already stuffed full of drawings of these things.

And it's obviously not finished. It hasn't even really got legs.
