It seems to be a new, or gently used and refurbished machine from Senseo. It has the new shorter spout, which means my Dixie coffee cups will fit under it perfectly, and I no longer have to spill things when I make coffee or tea.

It didn't come with the tea pod holder, but I don't really care. I don't want their 'mint green tea'. Ew.

Also, it came with a bag of dark roast and a pod holder, which I've always wanted, but never was able to find for purchasing. That's somehow important.

There might be other stuff in the box. I don't know.

Oh, and when I say 'free-ish', I mean there was a shipping charge of $15., which seems extreme, but you're getting a stainless steel pod holder, some pods, a bunch of coupons, and a whole Senseo if you qualify. And if it's still running. I don't know if it's still running.

It seems like a good deal, to me. Of course, I really like the Senseo, so I might not be the best person to ask....

If you happen to be of the girly-variety, you can probably go sign up, and you might get a free bracelet, too.

Also, talk to your doctor. And if you have daughters, maybe you should talk to your doctor about it with them, too, because cervical cancer? It kinda sucks. And not telling your kids about 'the sex thing' isn't going to keep them from finding out about it. It might even lead to them making a big mistake.

It's a neat poster. It's got the chromosomes, and big lists of diseases and stuff next to each one.

When I got the original free samples, I got four little packets of their four different flavours, and a letter instructing me to email them when I'd figured out what Zombi's favourite flavour was. I did so a few weeks ago, and not long after that I got this:

...anyway, I requested a sample a little while ago, and it showed up the other day in this padded envelope with Zombi's name on it.

How cute.

I didn't expect this. I assume that it's all four of their available flavours for cats. And it's not just one or two treats in there, either.

Pretty damned cool.

Also, there was a coupon in the envelope, and a letter that says that I can contact them at a specific address when I've figured out which treat is my cat's favourite, and they'll send me a larger freebie of that.

The best part of all this? I finally found a treat that Zombi likes that isn't the Impossible To Find Whisker Lickins Beef Flavour, and I didn't have to waste any money.

So far, she seems to really like at least three of them -- the liver and the two fishy kinds. I'm not sure what the fourth is, but I haven't even opened it yet.

I'd try her on the last one right now, but Gremlin's already given her a few treats today.

Yes, my cat is spoiled. No, it's not entirely my fault.
