I've tried to make them as unobtrusive as possible, but as easy for me to insert as possible. So, they sorta randomly auto-insert into every post. At the bottom.

So, yeah. Just thought I'd mention it.

And I'm working on something else for there, too, in between bouts of frustration with other projects.

I suppose I could be waiting to make sure that Gremlin gets up, so he can wake me up in time. I'm not sure.

If only someone had invented a thing that makes a noise at a predetermined time, so as to awaken a sleeping person.

Instead of sleeping, I've been digging through the Idiot Archive, and fixing some broken images. There was a post of Swyndle's in the Utahraptor section that had a few broken links in it -- mostly because of some angelfire hosting thing, but partly because of one image being not-quite-properly-named. So, I fixed that.

I also fixed this post [another of Swyndle's] in The Red Files. Broken images again.

And, now, I'm working on updating the SystemvsBizzi section to include this post somewhere where random board crashes and active users can't edit them. Not that I expect them to do anything -- they've lost everything, now.

That's turning out to be a lot of very unpleasant work. I've got to make sure avatars match up, and get rid of all the extra pointless board images without fucking with the actual posts, just to make it all a little less cluttered-looking and easier to read.

I might also need to do something to bring over a few of the styles, like the quote stuff. Maybe. I don't know. I'm not sure I care that much right now.

Maybe I should just go to bed. Not that I'll sleep, oh no. I'll just curl up and play Spider Solitaire on my DS.

I'll get to it later, when I'm not annoyed by the fact that a bunch of plugins are suddenly needed, when they weren't before....

The image up there that's my URL is now a link back to the main page. And I've removed 'main' from the buttons, and added an 'about me' and 'my pets' thing. Also, I changed the order a bit, and changed 'Messageboard' to 'Forum'.

Then there's the random image. Instead of one, it's now four, and they're smaller. I'm not sure how I feel about them being all in a line like that, though. That wasn't quite how I wanted it. But I'm okay with it for now....

The categories now collapse, if you have javascript enabled. Or, rather, they expand. And collapse. But the Idiot Archive does not, because I took the easy way out and used a plugin, which won't allow me to have two instances of it. That's what I get for being lazy.

Underneath the Idiot Archive, you'll notice a new list of the five most recent comments, which I might rearrange a bit. I just haven't settled on the wording yet.

...and I made the Random Product image smaller.

You might also notice that the archive pages [categories, and the date-arranged ones you can get to through the Archives link up top] now no longer show three posts, but show all the posts -- title only -- in a list.

And you might also notice that the comment form has changed a little bit. Or you might not. I'm not really sure if it's changed for anyone but me, because I got it to notice that I'm logged in.

Those are the updates. There will be more later.

I found some 404s that I didn't know where there. Over in my Idiot Archive. Seems I forgot about a particularly unimportant idiot [Bizzi] when I moved the folder out of /main/ and into the place it is now, and I neglected to fix the links.

That's all fixed now.

That is: the posts with images are now no longer using the Coppermine plugin to pull images from...Coppermine. Instead, they're either relying on Gallery2 or links to my Images folder.

Now all I have to do is replace a few width/height tags for thumbnails, and rotate a few [hundred] images so they're facing the right direction.

This is like progress, though....

Edit: more progress. I just went through the entire gallery and rotated the ones that needed rotating. I'm not sure if I got them all, but I at least got the obvious ones. So that's done.

Also, I went through and resized all the thumbnails being pulled in by WPG2. I wish there was a way to set it so that it would put the thumbnails in at 100 instead of 150, but...there isn't an obvious one. So I have to do it by hand.

Now I just have to get all my new images uploaded, including the ones from last night. Oh, and go back and tag all the untagged posts. And then maybe I can justify redesigning this thing....

Also, I added three new albums from this year. I might add a few more later, and post about them. Because they're more postey pictures than just my regular boring cloud/tree/boring stuff.
