Chaos the Cat

Chaos isn't my cat. She never really was, but due to what happened while she was in my life, I'm going to consider her as one of my former pets.

When I met Chaos in November of 2000, she was still the property of her previous owner. She also had one purple and one orange paw. I didn't think that much of it at the time....

Until her owner dyed her again -- this time with the strongest red hairdye Clairol had to offer. Then it got thought about a lot.

Poison control was called, and Chaos was rushed to the vet. Turns out the vet couldn't do anything because neither of the people involved in the rushing actually owned her.

Animal control [or something] got called.

It turns out that nobody had ever tried to dye a cat before, and, once everyone got over the utter shock of how stupid the entire thing was, and found out what was in hairdye, the state pressed charges.

The courts decided that, if the owner paid off her fines and courtfees and whatnot, and took classes on the proper care of a cat, she'd be allowed to get her cat back.

That was in June.

Chaos has, apparently, been shuffled from house to house with several people for a length of time. I currently have no idea where she is, or if she's even alive. From what I understand, the former owner never managed to get her back.

I think that's a good thing, don't you?
