So, I started with this....

I tried to make it cute. And, at the very least, sorta identifiable. I'm not sure I managed to do either. But I picked something easy first. And something that nobody online would noticed, because the 'net is already stuffed full of drawings of these things.

And it's obviously not finished. It hasn't even really got legs.

I really hope that I can do something else now that I've at least gotten the basics out of my head. I'll probably have to go back and finish it later.

I thought it might be nice to give a better idea of the size of the phone somehow, like I did with my camera and that altoids tin. The two packs of that new Trident gum worked well for that, since I happened to have them.

...then I forgot to continue the 'this is how big it is compared to' theme. Instead, I started on this slow downward spiral of space-wasting. First, with pictures of my phone's new wallpaper. I didn't mean for the image to be slightly too large, but I happen to like how it turned out. So I'm keeping it for a while.

It's hard to see, but I'm using the same image on the outside screen, too. Sorta. If it were literally the same image, the background of the inside screen would be completely black, and 'kittylump' wouldn't even be on the screen at all.

I still have to tweak the one I'm using on the outside screen a bit. I'm still not happy with it, because of that white line at the top -- but it's better than white lines down the side, so I'll live.

I also took some pictures with the phone's camera. The first picture I posted from it isn't exactly a fair representation of what it can do -- or maybe it is. I don't really know how people judge that sort of thing. I was using the 'night' picture setting in a fairly dark room, where the only light was from a computer monitor and a television. For that, the picture wasn't bad.

Once I remembered to turn the damned flash off, I managed to get this picture [again, the packs of gum, because they were handy]. I set my regular camera back to 3mp to get comparison shots, but the one that would've gone alongside this one came out blurry. The two taken with flash are okay, though.

So it's not the worst thing in the world. If I could just get the hang of how long to hold down the button, it might be better -- just in case I don't have my regular camera with me. The button is tricky, you see. If you hold it down too long, it switches to video mode.

I haven't used it to take any video yet. I'm not sure what that's going to be like. I thought about trying it out, but the most exciting thing happening anywhere near me was Gremlin writing on his new phone, and that's not really worth it.

...which is why things like this picture happened.

And this. Because I discovered that my phone has an 'edit' function on pictures. And then this crap called 'fun frames'.

I like this one better.

I'm still trying to get the hang of this whole Photoshop thing. It's going to take me a while, and I'll probably be exposing the internet to a lot of crappy sketches in the process.

I just noticed it looks a lot like the foetus I sketched out a while back. Oops.

The feet and the tail are just sorta...temporary. I just didn't think it'd be a good idea to upload it as a head with a funny egg shape hanging off it.

I'm really not sure how I feel about it yet, but it can't possibly be any worse than anything else I've uploaded, so I'm sharing it.

I thought it might be more interesting if it were, say, sprawled a bit. And the head was tilted. It's a much rougher sketch than the other one, even though the other one still contains all the pencil lines, and [possibly] the lines from the notebook paper it was sketched on.

Just thought I'd share, though.

It's an owl. It's technically my first drawing with the wacom, except I did it downstairs on Gremlin's computer a few months ago.

It's actually fairly old. I wasn't sure if I wanted to add it, but then I had a look around at some other available stuff, and decided that it couldn't hurt. Not even a little bit....

Shit. I'm missing a cthulhu somewhere. I have to go find it now.

Currently, there are only the three cephalopods, the stegoblob, the iguana and the three beanbag bunnies. Eventually, I hope to add a bunch of photo stuff, and several other drawings I have sitting around, waiting to be finished, saved at the proper size, and put online somewhere.

And then there's the eyething, which I completely forgot about in the middle of all the 'why the hell doesn't this thing work'....
