He comes in and asks to use the bathroom. Denied.
He says he just wants to get some water. Still denied. And it's not like he can't just walk an extra few feet into Safeway and use the water fountains there. Or to the Wendy's, where they have cups, and ice. Or, hey, the Safeway has a Starbucks that gives you a whole large cup full of ice and water. With a straw.

I'm considering pointing this out, when suddenly:

"Silent Hill? They made a game of that?"

I'm pretty sure even the crickets you normally hear during moments like that were stunned into silence.

Edit: I forgot, I was going to add this. I thought it was funny....

Gamexplosion, however, have been closed by seven for the past two days, which is really annoying, because their hours are posted everywhere as being until 8pm.

Presents!

The big, differently wrapped one was a robe with slippers, and presents stuffed into the pockets. It's hard to get a picture of a robe, though.

See? It's very soft, though.

And these were in the pockets. There was also a copy of Brain Age 2 for Gremlin.

It may seem odd, but this is actually something I was hoping I'd get. It's a nice ankle brace with a hinged heel-cup. And it fits very nicely inside my shoes. At some point soon, I'll have to go and take a walk with it on, and see if it's really as comfortable long-range as it seems.

Lemmings for the SNES!

Which makes sense. Mom would wrap something that goes with it. I thought it might be the controller, but that was just forgotten [as I mentioned before]. That's not that big a deal, though. I was able to get offbrandish controllers new at Gamexplosion.

Octo clips. A box of octo clips. Exactly what I wanted. And with the NoSlipGrip. I'm hoarding these things now, because they're so very, very hard to find.

A Wacom Bamboo, which I fully intend to play with, after I'm done with everything else. Or possibly before. Or maybe even during.

I'm also not getting my NES, partly because my NES quit working years ago, and was replaced with a yard sale NES. My mom had the thing open and in pieces this morning, trying to get it to work right.

I guess I'll have to get one at gamexplosion, and I probably will if I get my old games back. I had a lovely, shiny Legend of Zelda....

I don't know why I want my NES, or even my SNES. I know I could probably get these games some other way, but...I don't know. Nostalgia, maybe? I want to play them the way I used to.

I'm kinda thinking about digging out the Atari and hooking it up, too.

Oh, in case you're wondering what a 'gamexplosion' is, it's this:

They have a lot of stuff.

So far, the store's been pretty good to me. We got a Genesis3 there, which had this little spontaneous reset issue, and they let us trade it for a Genesis2 that works wonderfully. The last time we were in there, we got a game that, well, I guess they forgot to give us the game part [happens a lot with used games], and we were able to get the problem fixed without any real problems.

...I guess that wasn't actually 'the last time we were in there', but 'the last time we bought stuff there'. The actual 'last time we were in there', they had five or six NESs on display.

Like any good thing existing in the modern world, gamexplosion has a website, and a forum.

And they make use of cute animal pictures to warn you that you're on camera.

They're kinda local, though. If you happen to be in the area, you can probably use them for your gaming needs. If not, maybe they'll get an online store up and running eventually.

They have Atari games. It's amazing.

I took some pictures of the store, but I won't be able to get them online until Friday because my card reader isn't plugged in. I don't want to stress this backup power supply any more than I have to while I'm waiting for the new one.
