I was almost willing to overlook the slightly clumsy performances and the equally clumsy dialogue, right up until the ending that didn't happen.

Seriously, where's the ending? That's not how the book ended. What'd you do with my fucking ending?

Expecting the netflix customer service number to be available online is stupid. Especially when you're looking for it to call and ask why you can't get to their site.

It might be 1-888-638-3549, because that's the number in my outgoing calls, and I so rarely make outgoing calls....

And it is. Which is good. And Netflix is down, which is also good, because that means it's not me.

This is annoying.

I think I'm making a mistake, trying to watch anything through Netflix's Watch Instantly during the day. It keeps 'readjusting' because my 'internet connection has slowed.'

I'm starting to think it's actually because there are a lot of people also watching through Netflix, and that they're just blaming me to piss me off and get me to go somewhere else. Because fourteen minutes of waiting while something rebuffers? Is fucking bullshit.

Seriously, there's almost no network traffic right now, and I'm still waiting. It's got to be somewhere other than 'on my end'. They shouldn't lie to me like this.

Yeah, I know, it hardly matters.

Netflix has been testing the unlimited thing for a little while now [possibly even with me, but I haven't been paying attention], and today they switched everyone over. Everyone except the 4.99 2 at a time people, that is.

So, yay. I have unlimited time to watch...well, probably nothing right now. I don't even know what's available.

This is just going to be a bad day....

Maybe I should give up and go to bed now, and just skip the day entirely.

See, I ran out of CSI earlier -- I'm in the middle of season 6 [almost literally; the last thing I got from Netflix was Disc 3], so we switched over to cable and checked out OnDemand. Which led to Eragon and Lost In Space.

Lost In Space wasn't so bad, if you could get past that godawful monkey-thing. And I'm not sure I can. But Eragon?

Ih.

What's convinced me that being awake for the rest of the day isn't the best of ideas is the fact that Netflix just registered getting the two DVDs I sent back. And they won't be sending any others out, because there's no mail today.

I hate it when there's no mail.

My missing Netflix found its way home.

I hobbled down to the mailbox a few minutes ago and found a surprise -- four red envelopes. Some people might not think that's a little weird, because they're on one of the bigger plans, but it's not exactly normal for us average 3-at-a-timers.

Even stranger, they were all addressed to me.

The missing one showed up, almost a week late. It's pretty beat up, and there's this funny yellow sticker on it.

Really makes me wonder how much of my other mail has actually vanished into the Postal Void. And why someone tried to send my mail to somewhere else. Was Mr. Postal Worker confused by the fact that there are no cars in the driveway?

I guess that would throw people, and make them think that maybe nobody lived here. I mean, we're the only house on the block that doesn't have a full garage AND two or three cars parked all over the place.

In less interesting news, I'm still in pain. I can't straighten my right leg because my knee really doesn't like it, and I'm probably going to be wearing this aircast-like-thing on my left ankle for at least another week. I tried walking without it earlier, and I didn't like it at all.

I have more NCIS now, though, so yay. Netflix time.
