So what does she do? She touches his head, comments on how cold he is, and ties her handkerchief around his head.

How is that supposed to help?

“I’m going to try to touch it. Then we’ll know if it’s real.”

Of course, Sam’s reaction to everything was ‘try to touch it’. And it was a vast improvement over his previous habit of ‘testing reality by licking everything’.

Apparently, there are ghosts in this chapter.

This particular ghost gives me the sense that he died while racing to the bathroom after his first encounter with tacos, or possibly curry.
