Unexpected Good News

We ended up going out for dinner today, even though it wasn’t really in The Budget. It was a friend’s birthday, and it was just a small gathering, and I didn’t have to eat. I ate anyway, because everyone kept having me eat off their plates.

Not gonna complain about that. I tried two new things, and they were both surprisingly tasty.

While we were there, though, we ended up talking about the library.

Awesome Thing: Fun Chop Chopstick Helper

There are things that a majority of adults can do that I fail at: drive a car, wear pants, hold down a regular job, wash dishes, use chopsticks…y’know, the basics.

One of those things can be moved to a conditional list of ‘kinda actually can’ now.

That’s right! I can now use chopsticks!

Contigo Autoseal Water Bottle

“My new fridge will have a working water and ice dispenser. Water is cheaper than soda, and I need to try and save money. I NEED A WATER BOTTLE.”

This is the thought process that led to the purchase of the Contigo Autoseal Water Bottle [possibly the ‘Madison’ type, but I’m not entirely sure].

There was more to the process, of course. I had to come up with reasons for not just using a cup [Zombi; I can take the water with me if it’s in a bottle], and then I had to come up with requirements.

Spillproof, no annoying straw, not metal, and can be operated with only one hand.

All of these conditions were met by the Contigo.
