This is Zombi.

Every day, she saves my life.
Every day, I wake up.
Every day, I go through the motions: go downstairs, check the social shit, maybe do some social shit.
Every day, I wonder why I bother. If it all wouldn’t be better if I just ceased to exist. People would miss me, but they would go on without me. Even the ones closest to me. From down here, everything and everyone looks as if they’d be better off without me.
Every day, Zombi crawls into my lap. With a simple purr and a moment of eye contact, she reminds me why.
She does what people can’t do.
She finds me in the darkness, and helps me find the other reasons to go on.
Every day, she saves me.
And now it’s raining on my face.
And I’m just gonna say that even though we rarely see each other and don’t get to visit online much and I really kinda miss chat for that – well, you’re actually very important to me, and I love you like a little sister.
